Rose Anguiano Hurst, Executive Director
Rose Anguiano Hurst is the Executive Director of Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST) where she leads a team of 60 staff. Rose has served in the capacity of Executive Director at WEST since 1995. During this time, the organization has grown to serve more than 2000 women annually. Rose possesses an extensive professional knowledge and background in all aspects of non-profit program management and administration which she strengthened at WEST and previously in similar organizations.
Her greatest satisfaction at work is witnessing participants’ confidence flourish as they attain skills and find jobs where they can make enhanced contributions in society for themselves and their families. Rose is grateful to have the support of a committed board of directors and professional staff who work together to ensure the goals of the organization and the employment needs of women in our community are being addressed.
Olivia Zhao, Director of Finance
Olivia oversees all financial operations with precision and expertise. With her keen eye for detail and dedication to financial integrity, Olivia ensures that WEST’s resources are managed efficiently to support our mission of empowering women in the community.
Corina Jancev, Manager of Integrated Employment Services
Corina Jancev is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the employment services sector, dedicated to supporting individuals achieve their career goals. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Family and Social Relations from the University of Windsor, grounding her work in a strong educational foundation.
As the Manager of Integrated Employment Services, Corina administers and oversees the delivery of Employment Ontario programs and services as well as effectively manages a team of employment counsellors, job developers and intake staff. Corina’s commitment to client success, strategic planning, and impactful program delivery has made her a valuable asset in driving WEST’s mission forward. Her extensive experience, strong leadership skills, and dedication to empowering individuals make her a leading figure in the field of employment services driving success for both clients and the WEST organization.
Stephanie Allen, Manager of Skilled Trades
Stephanie Allen is the Program Manager of Skilled Trades at WEST. She possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Honours Sociology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Stephanie has worked at WEST since 2014 and is leveraging her experience in the education and social services sectors to oversee a diverse portfolio of pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship retention programs. With her leadership, these initiatives continue to empower women in skilled trades, providing them with the tools and support needed to thrive in traditionally male-dominated fields.
Anabella Hatami, Manager of Settlement
Anabella Hatami is a dedicated Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the social services field. With a profound commitment to social justice, she has spent more than 12 years in the Settlement Sector, where she has tirelessly championed the rights of newcomers, helping them achieve their employment and settlement aspirations. Anabella is a vocal advocate for underrepresented communities, particularly in environments where diversity is scarce. Believing deeply in the power of collective action, she embodies the philosophy that “it takes a village” to drive meaningful change, consistently working to uplift women and families.
In her role as Manager of Programs at Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST), Anabella leads a dynamic team of over 30 staff, managing a diverse range of initiatives focused on empowering newcomer women and girls. She oversees key programs such as Care for Newcomer Children (CNC), Language and Skills Development (LINC), the Youth Leadership Project, Community Connections, Empowering Women for Employment (EWE), Enhanced Language Training (ELT), Orientation, and the Newcomer Settlement Program (NSP). Beyond her leadership duties in Settlement Services for Newcomer Women and Girls, Anabella also writes grants and oversees other smaller programs that also have a significant impact in the community.
Anabella believes deeply in the importance and impact of her team, recognizing that their collective efforts drive the success of the programs they lead. Her leadership is marked by her close collaboration with her team, fostering a strong, supportive, and inclusive environment where each member can thrive and contribute meaningfully. Anabella’s hands-on approach and deep investment in her team’s success reflect her steadfast commitment to leadership excellence and the well-being of the communities they serve.
Seita Sadoo-Thomas, Manager of Youth Programs, Fund Development and Special Projects
Seita, holding an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management, has dedicated six years to WEST. Drawing from her extensive business acumen, she focuses on grant writing, fund development, and communication. Leading programs like LEAD and SEAT, Seita is committed to propelling WEST’s mission forward through innovative strategies and empowering youth.
