Learning the English Language
Nada Alhoshan came to Canada in 2015. She was a homemaker and had 9 years of education before she immigrated to Canada. Her language skills was Literacy. However, she is very eager to improve her English skills to be able to integrate into the new life in Canada.
Nada started the Literacy class at WEST since June 2016. She studied very hard and always participated in learning activities. She was progressed to CLB 1/2 in June 2017. The progression motivated her and she has used all the opportunities to practice her English.
Her language skills has been improved, especially her speaking skills. She is able to see the doctor by herself. She translates for her husband to follow the nurse’s instructions. She is very proud of her achievement and grateful for the learning opportunities at WEST.
Collaborative Effort
”I am really grateful to WEST, as it added a great value in my life. From the very beginning, every staff member of WEST was very helpful and encouraging. All of them are happy souls to encourage and inspire others and thus fulfilling others life and mind with happiness. The bright smile of Vidhya and Princess were enough to bring smile to other’s face.
For me, the bond with WEST is forever. And my special thanks go to my teacher Brandi Burgess and my career counsellor Stephanie Allen. Without your guidance and encouragement, I could not go further.
Thank you all for changing other’s lives.
I will be really happy to volunteer in any other program of WEST (if I am allowed or am eligible), to help other women in future.
Thank you WEST.
