Are you having trouble finding full-time work?

Have you been looking for training that is specifically designed to help young women find employment?
LEAD Program

The Young Women in Leadership, Employment, and Development Program (L.E.A.D), funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, is designed to support young women facing employment barriers by equipping them with the skills and experience necessary for career success. The program consists of 8 weeks of comprehensive in-class training focused on essential employability skills, followed by a 6-week work placement that offers participants the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical, real-world setting.

Key components of the program include:

  • Job Search & Interview Preparation
  • Mental Health & Wellness Support
  • Computer Skills Training
  • Professional Development Workshops
  • Industry-recognized Certifications (Food Handling, Smart Serve, Soft Skills, CPR/First Aid)
  • Specialized Classes taught by Industry Experts
  • Mentorship Opportunities
  • Professional Networking Events
  • Workplace Readiness Workshops
  • Ongoing Career Support

The benefits of the 6-week work placement are two-fold:

  • Participants gain valuable real-world experience.
  • Employers benefit from reduced training time for new hires and receive a wage subsidy to help offset training costs.
